Action SF is an all-volunteer group that works to activate voters, promote progressive values, and help Democrats win elections. Through our 2024 Grassroots Fund we support six groups in battleground states with proven track records for increasing voter turnout. We also focus on postcard writing, phone banking, canvassing and more.

Why A Grassroots Fund?
In today’s political environment, national elections turn on the outcomes of a very few battleground states, where winners & losers are decided by fractions of a point. Joe Biden won both Georgia and Arizona by 0.3% of the total vote, and Wisconsin by 0.6%.
Voter turnout is the key to winning these races and dollar for dollar, we believe grassroots organizing is the most efficient and effective way to increase the Democratic voting base. When local grassroots groups reach out to non-voters in their communities – young people, people of color, and those who feel left out of the process – they educate and inspire potential voters to understand they can make a huge difference with their vote.
Because we believe in the power of grassroots organizing, each election cycle Action SF does the research to identify great groups in critical swing states and districts, and then we reach out to you -- our extended network of friends, neighbors and colleagues – and ask you to support their work by donating through our Grassroots Fund.
